Palon. And these few Precepts in thy memory,
Palon. See thou Character. Giue thy thoughts no tongue,
Palon. Nor any vnproportion'd thought his Act:
Palon. Be thou familiar; but by no meanes vulgar:
Palon. The friends thou hast, and their adoption tride,
Palon. Grapple them to thy Soule, with hoopes of Steele;
Palon. But doe not dull thy palme, with entertainment
Palon. Of each vnhatch't, vnfledg'd Comrade. Beware
Palon. Of entrance to a quarrell: but being in
Palon. Bear't that th'opposed may beware of thee.
Palon. Giue euery man thine eare; but few thy voyce:
Palon. Take each mans censure; but reserue thy iudgement:
Palon. Costly thy habit as thy purse can buy;
Palon. But not exprest in fancie; rich, not gawdie:
Palon. For the Apparell oft proclaimes the man.
Palon. And they in France of the best ranck and station,
Palon. Are of a most select and generous cheff in that.
Palon. Neither a borrower, nor a lender be;
Palon. For lone oft loses both it selfe and friend:
Palon. And borrowing duls the edge of Husbandry.
