Ber. Haue found the ground of studies excellence,
Ber. Without the beauty of a womans face;
Ber. From womens eyes this doctrine I deriue,
Ber. They are the Ground, the Bookes, the Achadems,
Ber. From whence doth spring the true Promethean fire.
Ber. Why, vniuersall plodding poysons vp
Ber. The nimble spirits in the arteries,
Ber. As motion and long during action tyres
Ber. The sinnowy vigour of the trauailer.
Ber. Now for not looking on a womans face,
Ber. You haue in that forsworne the vse of eyes:
Ber. And studie too, the causer of your vow.
Ber. For where is any Author in the world,
Ber. Teaches such beauty as a womans eye:
Ber. Learning is but an adiunct to our selfe,
Ber. And where we are, our Learning likewise is.
Ber. Then when our selues we see in Ladies eyes,
Ber. With our selues.
Ber. Doe we not likewise see our learning there?
