An. The euill that men do, liues after them,
An. The good is oft enterred with their bones,
An. So let it be with Cæsar. The Noble Brutus,
An. Hath told you Cæsar was Ambitious:
An. If it were so, it was a greeuous Fault,
An. And greeuously hath Cæsar answer'd it.
An. Heere, vnder leaue of Brutus, and the rest
An. (For Brutus is an Honourable man,
An. So are they all; all Honourable men)
An. Come I to speake in Cæsars Funerall.
An. He was my Friend, faithfull, and iust to me;
An. But Brutus sayes, he was Ambitious,
An. And Brutus is an Honourable man.
An. He hath brought many Captiues home to Rome,
An. Whose Ransomes, did the generall Coffers fill:
An. Did this in Cæsar seeme Ambitious?
An. When that the poore haue cry'de, Cæsar hath wept:
An. Ambition should be made of sterner stuffe,
An. Yet Brutus sayes, he was Ambitious:
